These are a really simple recipe of mine for those who must have Chocolate but are trying to cut down on Sugar.
You can use any chocolate really -Raw Chocolate would work if your on the raw food diet, 85% dark choc if your paleo & here I have a diabetic chocolate so it’s sugar free.
The 1st tip is to break your chocolate bar into a bowl with a 1/4 cup of coconut oil & melt this down, give it a good stir. Then add 2 handfuls of flaked almonds, a teaspoon of Honey and 2 teaspoons of peppermint oil and stir again.
In a mould (I’ve actually used a silicone ice tray that’s in the shape of hearts as it works well & makes it easy to pop the chocolates out when they set) spoon the mixture in & put in the freezer for about 10 mins to set, once set they are ready to eat, it’s couldn’t be anymore simple!!
Tip:Store in the fridge as the coconut oil melts easily!
Ingredients: Bar of dark choc, coconut oil, honey, peppermint oil & flaked almonds.
