Beetroot Hummus


With the party season coming up, there’s no better way to start your Dinner Party with some dips and (gluten free) breads & why not add an element of surprise by changing the usual Hummus for this beautiful shocking purple dip, a lot of people say they don’t like Beetroot but this will have their tastebuds dancing and also goes great with roast chicken or any Moroccan inspired dish.


  • 1 pack of Beetroot (Vacuum Pack or 1-2 raw beetroot roasted)
  • 400g Tin Organic Chickpeas
  • 2 Garlic Cloves Crushed
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Tahini
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

To Serve:

  • Gluten Free Wrap/Pita
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Coriander


1. Place the beetroot, chickpeas, garlic, tahini and lemon juice in a food processor and whiz to a paste. Keep the motor running and slowly add the oil until mixture is thick and smooth. Season and serve with breads, pita, chicken -what ever you desire 🙂
