Coconut Milk Smoothie

I love waking up to a delicious juice or smoothie,especially if you’ve had a tough training session the previous night, it’s a great way to nourish the body. If you’re a busy bunny, it’s a great source of fuel that you can whizz up in minutes and get to work. There are lots of great portable drinking containers available now in the likes of Pennys, Tk Maxx and even Tiger, which are great if you are stuck for time.


I don’t follow any set rules when it comes to smoothies, there are so many variations- just add in whatever suits your mood on the day! For my coconut milk version; I picked up some tins in the Asian Market on Abbey Street which only contain 2 ingredients! Some brands can have thickeners, additives and lots of unnecessary crap added so I was happy to find this version which is €1.50 per tin.

Smoothie Recipe:

Ingredients-Serves 2

  • 1 1/2 cups Mixed frozen berries
  • 1/2 tin coconut milk
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1-2 scoops vanilla protein
  • 1 tbsp nut butter
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Topping: Sweet Freedom Coconut Choc shot


1. Simply blend all ingredients until smooth and decorate the top with the sweet freedom syrup.
